Susan has taught in schools for 29 years in the areas of Tourism, Hospitality, Home Economics / Health, Design and Technology and Enterprise Education. A published author of curriculum materials: Home Economics and Tourism. Member of the SACE Curriculum Development teams in Tourism and Health. Susan has led professional learning with teachers at the local, national and international level specialising in Tourism and Hospitality. Susan was one of three Australian teachers chosen for the APTA Study Tour team December 2011 to USA re focus areas - National Performance Standards for Teachers, Leading Change, Coaching and Mentoring.

Susan recently led professional learning in regional South Australia- Pt Augusta region. This project led teachers new to tourism teachers, and those wanting to extend skills through development of practical tourism skills.
