CEASA Role

CEASA undertakes the following roles with and on behalf of the professional associations:

Productive and Strategic Partnerships

  • Collaborative efforts in the delivery of professional services to members on strategic issues
  • Shared consultative responses to government, sectors and communities at regional, state and national level
  • More productive relationships between member associations
  • A stronger profile for professional education associations and for their collective presence alongside principals’ associations and other stakeholders
  • Promote innovation in teaching and learning that is informed by research
  • Professional learning and enterprise activities for long term financial independence of associations

 

Professional Learning

  • Focused support for educators, especially in their first five years of teaching
  • Strategic collaboration among CEASA members in professional learning programs around nominated priority areas
  • Effective distribution of professional learning funding to association projects, aligned to DECD priorities
  • Accessible, timely, cost effective professional learning delivered using effective approaches and technologies
  • Professional expertise utilised to share effective practice and develop collaborative networks
  • Encouragement of quality professional learning that is rigorous, authentic and uses data to inform direction
  • Improved association support for educators working in regional areas
  • Completion of funded projects and contracts


Leadership for the Future

  • A strong and informed voice on state and national curriculum development expressed through position papers, evaluations and reviews
  • Strong interconnectedness between CEASA and member associations
  • Connection of member associations with other peak organisations – at state and national levels
  • Enhanced capacity within member associations for leadership, management and governance
  • Development of alliances and partnerships to sustain the profile and recognition of professional education associations
  • Management of events and celebrations for and on behalf of the profession
