Association Collaboration

Music Associations Combined Conference

In April 2011, CEASA supported six professional music associations  to combine their forces and present a significant one day music educators conference at the Education Development Centre. The Conference theme ‘Designing the Learning’ was drawn from the ECD Teaching for Effective learning framework and keynote and workshop sessions covered a range of learning and teaching models to suit all interests.  Over two hundred Primary, Secondary and Instrumental teachers participated with regional teachers being offered additional financial assistance.  International and National Keynote presenters and workshop clinicians added considerable expertise to many South Australian presenters. Each member association also provided ‘follow-up’ workshops throughout each school term to continue the learning and teaching focus.

ACE and ACEL Combined Breakfasts

In 2011 ACE and ACEL combined forces to invite key speaker, Mr Keith Bartley the Chief Executive of DECD, to speak at a joint breakfast at Pavillion on the Park. These associations often work together in this way.
