Funding Opportunities

CEASA provides direct funding to CEASA member associations to support the development and delivery of their professional learning projects. This funding represents a major proportion of the total funding received by CEASA from the Department of Education and Child Development under our current contract with The Minister, which runs from July 2011 until June 2012.

It is expected that projects will link with the DECD Strategic Plan 2012-2016 and focus on DECD priority professional learning areas:

  • Focus on the Australian Curriculum: The bringing together of pedagogy (e.g. TfEL), curriculum and assessment; the development of pedagogical content knowledge and teachers as designers of learning
  • Focus on the General Capabilities, especially Literacy and Numeracy, and ICT across the curriculum
  • Focus on Cross-Curriculum priorities: Aboriginal histories and culture, Sustainability, Asia
  • Focus on the National Professional Standards and the link to teacher practice
  • Provide quality learning outcomes for teachers, leading to improved learning outcomes for children and students
  • Support teachers in rural/remote areas
  • Mentor early career teachers
  • Develop connections with communities
