- promote and extend business education in South Australia
- provide means for the exchange of ideas on the teaching of business education subjects
- act as a body representative of the teachers of business education subjects wherever the educational interests of those subjects is involved

- maintain liaison with professional associations of teachers of business education elsewhere, plus other professional and academic bodies
