| Mission Statement |
To enhance the social, emotional and intellectual development of gifted children through supporting the families that care for them and providing professional learning opportunities for the adults who teach them. |
| About Us |
GTCASA is the oldest gifted association in Australia, founded in 1974 and affiliated with the national association, AAEGT. Its initial aim was to support teachers to understand and identify giftedness and provide appropriate learning opportunities and supports for gifted students. The emphasis now has shifted to focus on supporting gifted children and the adults who care for them and teach them. Members include families, individuals, education professionals and schools. Activities organised include enrichment activities for children, information for parents and professional development opportunities for teachers. |
