| Current Initiatives |
PMA currently has a key focus on supporting sites and educators to implement the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics in the school sector and the Early Years Learning Framework in the preschool sector. All learning activities are based around the Australian Curriculum materials and they are targeted at all stakeholders - leaders, teachers, parents and children.
A particular initiative in term four has been the Bridging the Transition Gap sessions which have linked preschool and reception teachers together to explore the challenges and opportunities of bridging the gap between the two national curriculum documents. |
| Awards |
The "Pam Meredith" Award for outstanding writing about the learning and teaching of mathematics is presented annually. Educators are encouraged to reflect about an aspect of classroom practice and these are submitted as part of the annual Mathematics Challenge. |
| Membership Base |
