| Mission Statement |
To support Primary School Counsellors and their work. |
| About Us |
The first Primary School Counsellors were appointed in 1988. In 1991 as the number of counsellors grew it was decided they needed a professsional association and the South Australian Primary School Counsellors Association Incorporated was formed. In 2007 "Counsellors" became "Counsellling" to include the and support other leaders in schools with a student wellbeing focus.
SAPSCAI exists to represent the interests, and promote the professional image of Primary School Counsellors, to provide avenues of communitcation with other counselling bodies, and to plan and conduct professional activities. We have representation on DECD advisory groups including the Primary School Counsellor Review Group and the SMART Advisory Group. |
