APTA Awards for 2011 - Nomination forms due to CEASA Office by Friday 9th December
The Australian Professional Teachers' Awards acknowledge the exemplary innovation and leadership carried out by individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the work undertaken by professional teaching associations. To assist the APTA Awards Committee, we encourage state and territory joint council boards to nominate worthy educators to receive well deserved recognition for their outstanding service to professional teaching associations and the professional standing of teachers in Australia. The APTAs are presented at the annual conference of the Australian Professional Teachers’ Association. There are two award categories:
• The Dororthy Hodinott Medal for outstanding lifetime leadership (one nomination from SA will be sent to APTA)
• Award for Meritorious Contribution to the Profession (up to five nominations from SA will be sent to APTA)
Please review the attached documents and send your nominations to the CEASA Office by Friday 9th December. (Week 8, Term 4).
The 2010 APTA Awards were presented at the ACEL Conference Awards Ceremony on Thursday 30 September 2010 at the Sydney Convention Centre. The Awards were presented by Ms Dorothy Hoddinott.
There were two categories:
