Mission:

The Aims of the Mathematical Association of SA are to:

(1) Promote interest in mathematics and mathematical education

(2) Encourage approaches to teaching and learning in mathematics which promote

excellence and the maximisation of potential for all students

(3) Provide means of inter-communication between mathematical students and teachers for

this purpose

(4) Provide services, professional development and publications that cater for the needs and

interests of members

(5) Provide a voice in relation to mathematics teaching and the work of mathematics teachers
