Mission:

1. To promote and enhance the pedagogy and teaching of primary years 3-5 students in South

Australian Government, Catholic and Independent Schools.

2. To undertake activities designed to extend the skills, knowledge and professionalism of primary

3-5 educators.

3. To encourage and promote the collegiality and networking amongst teachers of the primary

years 3-5 across districts and the state.

4. To contribute to, or arrange for, the editing and publication of materials to assist members and

teachers, specifically in primary 3-5 education.

5. To raise funds to further aid the objectives of the PYTASA.

6. To enhance members potential employment opportunities.

7. To promote awareness and understanding of the primary years 3-5 to the wider community.
